"I love this school! I'm graduating this year, and I'm seriously depressed cause i have a ton of fun here. All the teachers i have had are really nice, all the kids get along well, i hang out with a variety of different people and have never had any problems. like any school, if you're a new kid of course it's going to take time to make new friends and get situated, but you just gotta go with flow and not care what people think. i was a new student here, and you just gotta talk to people and you'll be set :) I am definitely gonna miss this place and the all the people there."

"As a parent, I'm not impressed with this school at all. My family and I moved to Sarasota when our daughter was in the eighth grade. She attended Booker Middle where she was in the VPA program, and she absolutely loved it. We had moved and were districted to SHS, and the from the first day on, she always came home crying. I contacted the school and they continued to do nothing so I pulled my daughter out. I was hesitant to send my daughter to Booker High, due to all the awful stories, but now that she is in VPA again, her sophmore year has been wonderful. I'm glad I made the choice to send her to Booker, and I would do the same."

"I am currently a student graduating next year. This school has had a few ups and downs but its still a very good school. Its clean, great teachers, great staff. Just needs a few improvements and thats all."

"Sarasota High goes above and beyond to prepare students for college and life as adults in general. The campus is clean, modern, and well kept. I've truly enjoyed my time there."

"Raised children in Ohio and at Sarasota High, and found the curriculum at SHS to be more challenging. However, administrative issues, including 3 different principles in 5 years, make for a negative, non-supportive learning environment."
