"The BOE and District Admin. are awful. The teachers manage to provide an acceptable level of educational service, for our students, despite the lousy district leadership. We are in our second consecutive year of Austerity."

"This is a great school and has the potential to be even greater. The only issue keeping this school from getting great reviews from students and parents is the fact that the school budget has been consistently voted down in the past few years. For people who are considering moving to Saugerties, the general sense of friendliness in the schools is a great plus."

"The activities I find available here are great. It's the huge ratio of sudents to teachers that worries me. One of my classes does not have enough desks so that on days that the entire class is present students share desks and are cramped in a small classroom. Some of the classes that are there to help students have been formed from closets. Fortunately the school is remodeling I just wish more could be done. The teachers are great and the educational options are good I just wish the school was bigger and some of the school's policies were reformed."

"Over the years i have had four siblings, including myself attend Saugerties High School. It has always appeared to me to be more of a medeocer school, but over the past few years the quality has improved, teachers have cared more, and the state test scores have soared above state averages. All four of us participated in the Interscholastic sports at Saugeties, including football, wrestling, baseball, and cheerleading, all of which were very positive influences for us. All though sometime the teacher effort would seem lack luster, the dedication of certain teachers made up for the lacking effort of others."
