"I mean, Wakefield High is okay. I didn't have a choice to go here, obviously, or else I would have chose Reading or Lynnfield. Wakefield itself is a blue-collar place, graced, at times, with a few misguided white-collared folk. Our school is the same. Most guys just want to play ball and then go work at the family business, and most girls want to meet a nice guy, maybe go to college, and then come back to have children and join mamma-groups that wear matching rhinestone-studded tracksuits and walk around the lake. It's all very all-American. Most people are happy, but if you want something else for your life, Wakefield High School is not going to satisfy you."

"My experience in this school has been a very good one due to the Performing Arts program, which is a highly-regarded program in my town. I've had such a positive experience being involved in the marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, and the drama club. The director of the Performing Arts is someone who the students look up to and respect. We have been voted one of the best high schools in the country for our music program. I would definitely choose to attend my school if I had the chance to do it all over again for the great opportunities it has provided me."

"The headmasters and guidance staff are wonderful and very supportive of students. If a student has special needs, they are incredibly supportive of the child and what ever needs to be done to get the child through any adversity. They are patient and kind and never make the child feel pressured"

"The teachers shouldn't really be called teachers. Really, they're more like managers. They assign an insane amount of homework, and it's all busy work. While most are friendly, they are usually pushovers, allowing a small group of students to make a zoo out of the whole class. The culture of the teachers is most accurately grouped into the five different core departments: here in order from best to worst. The History department is through and through amazing, but due to the great leadership of the department head, Mr. Rozzi, not by any effort on part of the school itself. The English department really tries to be modern, but they end up filling their curriculum with fluff in a vain attempt to interest their students. The Math department is about average, but the Science department is really lacking. Over the past five years, there have been major changes in teachers and administration, and the whole department lacks cohesion or organization on any level. Foreign language, though, is by far the most subpar. There are something like five teachers assigned to teach French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin. They are so far overworked and undervalued, it is criminal. It is quite visible where the administration's priorities lie, i.e. sports. The elective departments"

"In my experience there are a lot of qualified teachers and non-qualified teachers as in most schools. My children have had teachers who don't teach well and have had to teach themselves or get tutored. Having said that, there are teachers who have such a way of relating to the students where they are adored by most. The teachers I have had dealings with seem genuinely concerned and interested in the students. The teaching styles vary from classroom to classroom. Some teachers choose not to use technology in their classroom, where most technology is a necessity."
