"Teachers are very willing to help if it is needed and are easily approachable. They also do very well at getting the lesson across to the students, I couldn't ask for better teachers!"

"The environment of this school is just great. The teachers and parents really support and encourage the students and their are a lot of clubs and other activities for students to get involved in and just makes school more fun to go to. I would definitely choose to go here again because the school has a great reputation and I know I'm getting a good education."

"Parents go out of their way to ensure their kids do well in school. If a student is not doing well in a class, they will hire a tutor in a heartbeat(most of the students at Niskayuna are very well-off). There is also huge parent attendance at school games, as we have very strong athletic teams with section, state and national championships in rowing, section and state championships in lacrosse, and section championships in soccer and more(except for football. Our football team sucks). We also have a very good choir, orchestra, and band with high parent attendance at concerts. Parents here are supporters of anything and everything their kids do and that is why the students here are so successful academically, athletically, and musically."

"The school has a very diverse population with many students coming to the district each year from different backgrounds. Most students are involved in some type of school organization ranging from political, academic, and social groups."

"Most of the teachers here are really engaging and if you approach them, very helpful. There are a few teachers that make me wonder how they are still working here, but a lot of them really love their jobs and the students, and are good at what they do. The teachers do go above and beyond state standards with the curriculum and can be very demanding of students, even at the regents level and especially at the AP and honors levels, but this is always proves to be helpful overall in the end, as a Niskayuna student will test way higher than the average student at public high schools in New York. The percentage of kids graduating and going onto college is more than 90% which is really great too. And that all starts with the teachers! (That, and the fact that many students have engineers as parents)"
