"The academics at this school are nationally recognized, and for good reason. There is a good mix of electives to balance out the strong STEM courses that are a required part of the curriculum. The scheduling process is easy; however, it takes place in late January, so you may not know enough about your performance in certain classes to decide whether to move to the next level. The workload is excessive at times, but overall, it is manageable."

"Teachers care very much about students and go above and beyond to make sure their students understand the material."

"It's the top priority here. The teachers are all preparing you for the future in some way, some form. For example, my math class is a college level class and students who take higher level calculus in college struggle much less than others. The workload gets tough at times and is easy at other times. It is easy to schedule (at least for underclassmen) but there aren't that many choices for underclassmen. I didn't get to choose ANY classes for Freshman or Sophomore year. There's 1-2 choices later on, but compared to other high schools you get pushed onto a certain path. But they tell you that you're going to a specialized school, so don't come if you aren't interested at all in STEM and like art. Popular classes? All of them because everyone takes the same ones! Unpopular ones include non-competitive electives such as Humanities, Film, Cartoon, and non-AP classes."
