"School needs new principal. Tired, old ideas come from tired old people. Some very good teachers, but have little support from staff whose only concern is holding on to their own jobs for a few more decades. Concerned Parents are taking their kids elsewhere. People who can't afford it or dont care, are stuck with the the same principal who has been there since they themselves were in elementary school. Vice Principal and superintendent need to go as well."

"School is at a critical juncture. Possibility for some outstanding progress with the right decisions. Superintendent's contract is presently up for renewal. Heavy pressure from some on the Board of Education to ram through renewal before Governor's "price controls" take place. Time for a new Superintendent with the energy and decisive nature to clean house (staff) especially with regard to getting a new Principal and Vice Principal. School has outstanding potential, presently unrealized. Some very good teachers at MES. They need administrators who are up to the challenge, not just marking time. School needs classes for "gifted" children. School needs classes for "special needs kids". Board of Education meetings concerning the Superintendent's contract should not be held in secret."

"I am a student at Manasquan and I have found it wonderful. I was new at this school and the teachers helped me become the 1st honor role student I am today. The principal is amazing and involved in everything we do as students. Some of the parents though... are a little too much involved and you know who you are. But we are a great school and you need to look at it from the student s point of view. Not from what the parents read in the paper or what they hear from their gossip circles. You need to see what it is like from inside the classrooms and how involved and wonderful the teachers are. I love this school and would never want to change!"

"Neighbor just pulled 3 of her children out of the school because the school lacks leadership. People would rather pay 10-15k/yr each to put their kids in private schools rather than receive what Manasquan Elementary School is offering for nothing. That about says it all for the folks running Manasuqn Elementary School. Hiring relatives and friends seems to be what it's all about at Manasquan Elementary. You have to ask yourself, "how important is your child's education?" before sending them off to Manasquan Elementary School. If you can't afford a better school, or your kids are mentally challenged, and private schooling would make no difference, Manasquan Elementary is your school. If you care even a little about the education of your children, look elsewhere."

"Principal needs to go asap! No leadership at all. It's a mutual admiration society with no forward thinking or planning. Old methods that have failed to keep pace with changing times and teaching methods. Teachers are a mixed bag. Some great, some horrible. All management needs to go. They are overpaid and underworked."
