"Low rating only because of the principal who is really unprofessional, disrespectful and ignorant and talks down to parents and students, I'm not sure how she keeps her job; why can't a great school have a great principal? This school seems to be plagued with problematic principals, this one and the one prior, they went from bad to worse."

"Bayview is a great school! All the staff works hard to sure the kids get what they need. I feel sad to see negative reviews, but you can't please everyone. Sometimes educators must do things because of state and local policies. Pushing a kid into the next grade doesn't happen at Bayview. They make sound educational decisions, sometimes unpopular, but sound. The teachers care a lot about the students and work long hours to make sure each child gets a great education. What schools have to do now, teach manners, self respect, and provide reading, writing, math, social science, science, and grammar is a daunting task. The staff at Bayview should be applauded for their hard work. Sometimes it is hard to hear the "truth". Not all kids learn the same way, and have difficulties in the classroom. Instead of being upset at what educational professionals do, parent more at home. Demand high standards from your kids, the teachers at Bayview do! Remember the school cannot educate your children alone, they need help from the home!"

"I would give it a 5 but the principal here is by far the most unprofessional person I have ever seen. She walks around there with her nose stuck up in the air. She pushed on of my children though a grade although he/she was not making grades to pass. Just to keep her image and the schools image. I wish the board would see this and fire her! Then Bayview would be a definite 5 star school."

"My son started Bayview in K and is now in 1st grade. So far our experience has been wonderful. We visited every big-name private school within a 20 mile radius weren't as impressed. The teachers are top-notch. Many have spent their entire careers at Bayview because they love the atmosphere. The PTA is very active, making sure the school has funding for many bells & whistles, like Smart Boards in every room and laptop computers. The focus is on academics, primarily reading and math. Some complain about no funding for sports or theater programs, but being a public school that's a fact of life. Many kids do this privately after school. Since the school is small, many administrators and teachers know our son and take an interest in him. It feels like a family. The campus is beautiful. They also have a great summer camp. Our son can't wait to go back. Surprised to read negative reports on the principal. We have not had that experience. She has taken the time to get to know our son, and our family, and I have seen her do the same for others. She has always been respectful to us and willing to accommodate special requests whenever possible, more like the principal of a private school."

"Very disrespectful principal and so not classy! She really needs an etiquette class!! She wants parents to feel honored to be in her presence but in fact having to be her in presence is quit in fact he opposite!"
