"Overall Analy is a pretty great school! The students are very diverse and accepting of all types of people. We don't really have issues with cliques or bullying. Most students are very creative and artsy which you don't see a lot at other schools. Also our school has a lot of classes and programs to help protect the environment like eco action and the GSE club which is super cool."

"Analy is Sonoma County's premier hippie school, bar none."

"Most of the teachers I've had throughout my four years seem to genuinely enjoy the topic they are teaching and actually care for their students. Many of my teachers bring real world examples to lessons which is really interesting and helpful to my learning. The only complaint I would have is about the consistency in grading because some teachers don't update their grades on aeries so throughout the semester you don't really know what your actual grade is in the class which can be quite stressful."

"It's hard to give an overall rating due to the vast disparity among teachers. Probably half of the ones I had, particularly the AP teachers, were quite good, while many of the "regular" teachers seemed like they just wanted to cover the standardized material with as little effort as possible."

"Analy High School provides both an academically rigorous atmosphere for excellence and an open/accepting place for students to learn who they actually are. Downsides of the school include lack of ethnic diversity (primarily lack of African American students) and a disproportionate amount of funding invested in sports rather than the arts. Teachers are, for the most part, actively involved in their students learning experiences and provide tutorial time for any students that require extra attention. The most important thing to keep in mind is that there are no cliques. Friends are found in a variety of different stereotypical interest groups but no exclusion purely based on intellect, appearance, or interest prevails (as most often depicted on television). I encourage anyone/everyone to consider joining sports/clubs regardless though, because it not only allows you to have an immediate family upon arrival but may help in your first year, adjusting to the rigorous academic expectations. All in all, my four years at Analy High School were great (even without a cool dance number in the cafeteria or a romantic tryst with the high school quarterback) and from the activities I chose to join, namely Theater, Newspaper, and Swimming, I met some pretty cool Tigers (our mascot). I'd definitely go to Analy again if given the choice."
