"I am a graduate of Carlyle, and I would definitely say that Carlyle has some great teachers. There is tutoring for math available before school, after school, and almost every hour during the day (math lab). The administration will also provide the students with contact information for tutors if that isn't enough. Most teachers allow students to come and ask questions during their prep period. The principal is a very caring man, he attends every sporting event possible and truly is a supportive person of the Carlyle schools. The office secretaries are rude at best, but you win some and you lose some, I guess. The dual-credit classes that the high school offers in conjunction with Kaskaskia College are great, and have actually moved me a whole year forward in college, as I will graduate with an Associates in Arts after only one year of attending Kaskaskia. The guidance counselors are wonderful about helping with college acceptance, and most important, scholarships. I go back to see teachers occasionally and am pretty good friends with a couple of my favorites."

"I am from the Carlyle area, and attended CHS, and when i look at the people that came out of Carlyle High School, compared to other schools all around the state, the people from Carlyle have a much better character and they seemed to be very well suited for college. This is not only attributed to the values instilled by the teachers there, but it also just goes to show that the other students in the high school are good people as well. So i recommend this high school for anyone."

"I was a student ot Carlyle High School but i had to drop out and take GED classas because they wouldn't give me the help i needed. I have nothing good to say about that school. The principle is too hard on the students. And the office workers are extremely rude. And almost every teacher is disrespectful to students who don't do well in school. They shouldn't get mad at the students they should reconsider teaching because they don't know how to help those of us that need help!"

"I realize that high school students are not children, but we as parents are still responsible. There seems to be little contact from teachers as to when a student is struggling and the office help is extremely rude!"

"Carlyle High School (CHS) needs help! Students are bullied everyday."
