"I have rarely seen any parental involvement in this school, so I wouldn't say parents are really involved or supportive."

"I will agree, this school is kind of ghetto. But I honestly don't mind, the education is pretty decent and most of the teachers here are very nice and favorable. Every high school has its bad teachers so I don't hold it against the school. The uniform rules are very strict and the punishment for them ranges from not that bad to just ridiculous and it all depends on your APO (assistant principal officer). I like two out of the four APOs,but they usually do not bother you unless you are obviously out of uniform. The busing for CCTS is sort of ridiculous, especially the afterschool buses. Sometimes, they will put all the athletic teams and non-athlete clubs on three buses and expect everything to work out. But it seems pretty standard for a school to have busing issues considering busing is not provided by them. Last thing is: school spirit, there is no homecoming/football team, but there is prom. There haven't been any past spirit weeks, but I believe this year (2015-2016) will be the first one. Even though there are some bad things, as happens with any high school, this is a really good school. A number of the shops get certification they can use right after high school. The rest that don't still have a lot of college level education that will help in the future, and that is one thing that this school offers that most public schools don't. Your classes are based around whatever shop you are in, so instead of just learning a little bit of everything, you know a lot about the stuff you will actually use in life and you learn really good skills. The shops are very very hands-on which makes classes more fun as well."

"The teachers at this school rarely care about or support students. Overall I have been insulted multiple times by most of my teachers, and they rarely respect anyone. A lot of the teachers don't know what they're talking about when they are "teaching" and I often find myself teaching myself what I'm supposed to know. Also, when teachers say something ignorant, rude, or pain wrong, they will not listen to your opinion and they will call everything an "argument". There is no respectable debate even if they insult you to your face. With grading most teachers don't update on a frequent or regular basis, and a lot of them wait until the end of the marking period to update anything."

"Most of the teachers here are great and do genuinely care about teaching. There are a few bad eggs, but students and parents do work to ensure that those teachers are removed and it has gotten better since my freshman year (2014-2015). It is split almost in the middle when it comes to consistent grading. Everyone gets their grades in on time, but it may take them a while to do so. Some teachers teach using worksheets and some teach using models and visuals and hands-on experiences. The teachers here do take student's personal feelings and struggles into consideration if they know about it, and over all, the teachers here are good at their job."

"Teachers suck, we hardly learn anything useful, scheduling is difficult, students are overworked."
