"At Timber Creek, there are a few amazing teachers who will take the time to /teach/ a student at the school. Some teachers on the other hand, leave the students to fend for themselves when they don't understand anything. I'm a former student and my opinion on the school isn't a pleasant one, to say the least. I have gotten detention for multiple infractions such as dress code violations by wearing a hooded jacket to class! A /hooded jacket/ because the classrooms are cold! When text messaging during class, a student gets a slap on the wrist compared to a student in a hooded jacket to ward off the cold while sitting still for forty minutes! Three VPs control the students spread between grades 9-12 and they hardly do a thing! There have been fights on school buses and the VPs do nothing until the next morning! The detentions are to long, also. An hour and a half in a room full of other kids with next to nothing to do? No way, dear. I don't care what other people say about this school, but it's not a very good one. Sure, there are some cool teachers, but most of them do next to nothing teaching wise."

"I have had 4 children attend TC. I have nothing but praise of the faculty and administration for its positive drive and commitment to the kids and to us parents. My kids were part of the sports programs and were encourage to be part of all extracurricular actives. 3 of my kids have attended college and with 1 graduating soon to attend college. 1 that I am confident will grow and mature as the others have. their classes and friends have been nothing short of great and I attribute that to their parents and the quality of people TC draws to its school system. Have I heard problems, yes! But mostly from kids that are problems anyway. As I understand the disciplinary system, they do not take BS from these kids. I like the area for its diversity especially. The Vice Principles my kids have excellent interaction from each of them. MY kids are not perfect but TC certainly matured them into fine young adults I am proud of."

"I feel that the school and teachers are excellent. It is what th kids do with what is available to them. There are plenty of opportunities and my childs teachers have always been supportive. Parents need to stay involved and push their child in the right direction AND stop thinking it is all th e schools job to do it . ?mmmmlsbonner"

"My son attended TC for two miserable years after transferring from an out of state school. In that short time, a confident, affable, happy young man became a sullen, withdrawn, miserable person. In meetings with the administration during this period, I observed that TC was run much like a correctional facility. For the student body, TC was a 7am-2pm detention center where the students were herded about like sheep, bullied by bigger, older students and had little personal interaction with teachers other than the compulsory disciplinary actions involving cell phone usage and dress code violations even though, to my knowledge, the school board had never voted on or even discussed a dress code with parents. My son was a B student with an outgoing personality when he enrolled at TC. Two years later, he was; 1) a D student with "an attitude" according to TC's principal, 2) a good kid, but a typical lazy 15-yr old according to TC's vice principal, or 3) a high student floundering in a poorly run high school. Since leaving TC, this lazy boy with an attitude is again a confident, affable, happy young man, and a straight A student volunteering 70 hrs each month in community service."
