"We are parents of two young students at East Prairie and we have been thrilled with the education and individualization they are receiving there! Also we are so pleased that art, music and gym have not been cut from the curriculum as in many schools, and in fact are each scheduled at least twice per week. We have noticed lots of new parent volunteers this year, and the PTA supports many nice events. The Principal seems genuinely interested in each child's education and knows them all by name! From day one, our children have been very happy there."

"As a parent of 2 students at East Prairie, I can't say enough about the caring teachers, small class size, cultural diversity, & extra activities. Extra Kudos to the PTA volunteers! My kids love the school & are excelling."

"The acedemic programs at East Prairie are great. This is a pre-K-8th grade school. The class sizes are such that there are all the advantages of a private school with the funding of a public school. There is a huge variety of extracurricular activities music, art, and sports are all part of the curriculum. There are sports teams in soccer, volleyball and basketball. We have a nationally recognized technolgy department which is completely integrated in our curriculum, 5 computers per classroom, minimum. The only drawback is the apathetic parent involvement. As the president of the PTA, we have to really recuit parents to volunteer and to get invovled. Because of the small student body, we have limited parent resources but overall there aren't too many schools in the Chicago metro area with the acemdemic accomplishments of our school combined with the great diversity in our student body."
