"This school is AMAZING! My daughter has entered into the pre-IB program as a freshman and she is genuinely happy with the program and challenged. I,as as a parent could not be happier with the level of academic rigor for my child. I am also content with the staff and the genuine care that the teachers have for their students. The teachers are really in tune with the students individual needs. The school offers a variety of outstanding after school opportunities such as tutoring, clubs and the great Teen Achievers. The principal and school staff are caring educators. I was terrified for my child to enter into high school because of her past experiences with bullying, but this school has proven that she is in good hands. The IB program has created an environment where this group of students care and help one another. Thank you Cypress Creek!"

"Our son moved here from Chicago and attended Cypress Creek. I must say that by reading the reviews I was worried. However, I was extremely pleased with the help the staff offered during registration. In addition, the teachers were very attentive to my inquiries regarding our son's school work. They contacted us promptly, offered us advice and were genuinely caring for our son's education. I have never met a group of teachers that really went above and beyond for their students. As for a few of the comments regarding fights: My son came from Chicago where fights were common. Here at Cyprus Creek he said he was surprised nobody messed with him and he never saw a fight at the school."

"Here's the thing about Cypress Creek: This school is known very well for it's fights, stealing, and general lack of sports talent, but you won't miss out when it comes to spirit. The whole Preforming Arts department is phenomenal and the teachers may not seem like they care about the educational well-being of their students (which some really don't, if anyone has ever had AP U.S History) but they do. However, I cannot say that the IB Program is the best. I mean come on, I've had friends tell me that everyone cheats in there just to survive the overtly rigorous curriculum. But, I've seen Freedom High school and how they operate and they may be more professional, but never more caring in the effort they put in their students. Cypress may have a bad reputation, but I would never trade a single day of my life as a bear."

"Let's be real here; this school is below par on every level. I have moved around my whole life and been to many schools...Cypress was by far the worst academically I've been to. Most of my teachers didn't really care. In my Spanish class a teacher openly let kids cheat on test and assignments. She encouraged the use of google translate. And for the student body itself, theres a lot of fights, and a lot of trouble. The administrators are required to walk around with zip ties to fasten peoples pants around there waste. The only way a student wouldn't see these things is if they where in the IB program, separated from the rest of the school. If your in the regular part of the school your apart of the jungle. I'm. A basketball player for the school and even I'm getting pushed into lockers and getting all my stuff stolen. Most of your time in the hallways is fending for yourself and keeping your eyes open to what's going on around you. And sometimes it extends to the classroom. Your having to loom over your shoulder to see what's going on. Though, all that being said this school did open my eyes to the world around me, and I appreciate that. I really toughened up through my 1/2 year"

"My son has almost completed freshman year in the IB program and so far, so good. Having come from a small private school where he was the top of his class and very involved I wanted to ensure he continued to be successful at his high school. At CCHS, he is challenged academically and engaged socially. He is involved in plenty of volunteer and extracurricular activities and the school seems to help prepare students to become well rounded and achieve their goals. I had serious trepidation and was torn between shelling out lots for a private high school, sending him to monticello at Freedom (for which we are zoned)or magnetting into cypress. So far, no regrets. If you live in Hunter's Creek and have a child that excels academically and has set high goals for college, I highly recommend Cypress Creek IB."
