"three of my children have attended Lakeland and one will be enrolled next year. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the school. all of my children have flourished in Lakeland. they each participated in very different activities. cheering, soccer, track, softball, student council, DECA, swap. roadshow, and more. my oldest graduated from her first choice college, my second is attending her first choice college! teachers have gone above and beyond and guidance did a wonderful job! the administration always has a smile for me, the parent! parents must be involved! remember, it takes parents, teachers, and the student for success. Very clean and safe environment"

"My son goes to this school and I must say that I am very pleased with it. The administration and teaching staff is very friendly and helpful. The academic programs are among the best in the state. All of the extracurricular activites are top notch. Lakeland is one of the best public high schools around."

"this school is so-so at best. The main concern of the staff is how much they get paid and when they're getting off work. Don't send your children there if you have a choice."

"It seems as long as the students fall into the higher end or need special assistant, the school does well by these students. From what I understand its the ones in the middle that get lost. Also the athletic Dept. needs some fine tuning. Talented players are catered to while the others who could contribute to the teams are not used or 'cut'. Skills can be taught but attitude cannot. Althletic participation is a privelege but when a large part of per student funding goes to that dept. shouldn't the greatest amount of participants be allowed to join. Be honest with our young people, don't play games with their heads and emotions. Some students would do anything to be on a H.S.team. There has to be a way to change things! (especially when you are cutting only 2 or 3 players per sport."
