"Union Mine is a clean, safe school. Everyone is accepting of everyone and it is located in a small country town. Its very new and the staff is great with interacting and teaching. Our sports programs have grown tremendously and our band program, which i am in, has grown and become one of the better ones in the area. Some students, having grown up in such a small town and going to school with the same people since kindergarten, seem to be farely sheltered which can be a problem because going out to college will be a different experience. I grew up in more of a city, then moved here, and it's definately a different Lifestyle. Overall, Union Mine is a clean school with great ratings, but we are ust starting to get the hang of everything, being as we are new."

"Great school in general. It's clean, has an amazing staff and environment. Even though ther is a lack of divercity there is a great amount of acceptance. They have a great music program and I am looking forward to finishing my years there and moving on to a great college."

"The school in general is great because its so new, its clean. Staff is ecvellent, teachers are very helpfull. The only problem is the students. They are very sheltered. Some students are disrespectful to other students. Bullying. City schools with more culture and divercity students are more respectful to one another like the real world and if you respect someone they will respect you. This school the students like to start drama for no reason. Fake blonde exc. I would take a city school any day over a country stuck up school."

"My eldest daughter graduated from UM in 05; she graduates from a UC school in June 09 with a degree in Neuro-biology and is going to medical school. Her younger brother also excelled at UM in both academics and in sports all four years. He graduates from UM in 09; he was accepted at at 4 UC's and wants to also obtain a professional degree. Union Mine is safe, is responsive to parents and has a beautiful, well maintained campus. We came to UM in 2001 and in the 8 yrs, UM has sent our daughter and son to awesome UC university's. You run a great school principls Mr. Fickle and Mr. DeVille. GO UM!"
