"I think Central regional is an excellent school district! My daughter is getting an excellent education at the high school and also did well at the middle school when she was a student there. The principal, vice principals and teachers are extremely devoted to their students and they do not stand for unruly students. This school has come a long way over the past 5-10 years. Also, there are so many programs offered! Everything from the newly implemented Junior ROTC to AP classes, extracurricular activities, lots of sports, SAT boot camp and after school SAT tutoring! If you want to succeed here, you will! If you're lazy and unmotivated, you won't!"
"I would have to agree with the student who posted below. I am a sophomore in college and I can honestly say that high school certainly prepared me enough. The kids who say differently are the ones who didn't take advantage of the several programs that the school provides. Many students have poor attitudes but the one who are there to learn succeed through college. The teachers and administration are what really hold the school together. There are some lazy teachers, but you could find them in any school district. People seem to overlook the good just to see the bad. Our AP teachers are beyond qualified to be teaching at a high school level, and don't even get me started with the administration. Dr. Corbett was the vice principal of the middle school, then became principal of the high school my sophomore year. He enforces the rules, but even better he connects with the students. He knows everything about the shining pupils who excel in the classroom, to the best of the best in every sport. It is truly amazing. Dr. Trian Parlapanides is the man who is really behind making this school successful. He has done nothing but improve the schools standards and encourage our learning."
"Central Regional High School has many opportunities for its' students: Humanities Academy Our progressive partnership with Georgian Court University allows qualifying students the ability to graduate high school with up to 30 college credits taught by Georgian Court University Professors at Central Regional High School for free, paid by School Choice funds. JROTC Our Army ROTC program was newly introduced this school year. These students learn leadership, social, team, and discipline skills that enhance their abilities to be successful on standardized tests, prepare for military service or college, but most importantly, in life. Student and Exchange Visitor Program We are excited to announce our recent approval by U.S. Department of Homeland Security to host international students at the Central Regional High School starting this September 2014. $100 Million Business Model The Central Regional School District is building the first public/private business model with over $100 million being invested at Central Regional for a medical clinic/wellness center, indoor ice rink and separate in-door track facility. Sincerely, Dr. Parlapanides"
"Central Regional High School does not get enough credit here because of the students who could care less about school. Too many people judge a school based off of the students that do not go to college or drop out. Yes, this school has these type of students, as does just about every other public high school. The AP teachers here are so smart. Each AP teacher I have had cares so much about you, and what you learn here. They want you to push yourself and achieve here. Yes, the workload for the AP courses here are very tough. I've taken English, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus AP courses, and I learned so much from these teachers. Not to mention, the AP English teacher has a doctoral degree and everything that comes out of her mouth is pure wisdom, and will help you with your writing skills so much. I have a good friend who graduated from here and now goes to Cornell University and aced his first biology oral exam because of what he learned in AP Chemistry. It's amazing what this school gives to the students. I strongly recommend this school to students wanting to work hard in their AP classes, and do not judge this school based off of what others say."
"I am very excited about the new programs at Central such as the Army JROTC Program, the extended Humanities Academy, new Student Center, Video Marquee and new SAT Boot Camp. Its great to see progress in a school district."
