"Zero common sense at this school. From the top to the bottom. They had a fun run to raise money in Sept. Multiple kids had heat exhaustion symptoms, but no school policy for checking heat index, but there is a school policy for birthday invitations in classroom. Teachers are subpar, they give assignments that have work that has not been discussed in class, and my child has to research on the internet to find what is being asked on assignment. Principal is an expert on denial and excuses but no real actions. Refuses to discuss safety measures for the campus like shootings in Connecticut, because if a parent knows what the safety measures are we will endanger our children.... zero common sense. Glass doors to the outside in every hall. Classroom work is geared to the lowest functioning student, my child didn't want to draw pictures to figure out math questions, and we were told by principal that 5th grade students at school are still using that technique."

"We have been rezoned the Roth in August 2012. Before we attended Kuehnle Elemantary School at which we were extremely happy. We tried to enter Roth with an open mind and positive attitude. Now in February of 2013 we are all fed up with this school. There is very little to no comunication between teachers and parents. Volunteers often don't get approached, are overbooked or not contacted at all. The car pool line was left unattended several times until I blew up big time and threatened to get the policeand school district involved. Fundraising is ongoing. Unfortunately neither the school nor PTO make their fund transparent. There is no information where the money is going or what funds are needed. Boxtops seem to be wanted but there is no information and when and how they get collected. As a parent one often gets no response from teachers to emails or written notes. This school prides itself in being a Blue Ribbon School. Guys you are not. Not in a million years would I recommend this school to anyone."

"I could not agree more with the October 13th posting. I have repeatable tried to get involved in my daughter's class room, even presenting an Exon incentive to her teacher which would give her money in exchange for my volunteer work. Every time I was ignored or shunned away. The children get 15 min. a day for recess, but if they are not up to par with their work for the day, they HAVE TO SIT OUT!!! They just started giving K-5 DETENTION for being tardy 6 times or more. This is the parents fault not the child's. Fundraising is pushed and students are even taken out of "quality class time" for fundraising assemblies to hype the kids, but they started to short all areas like holiday parities, etc., because they said they do not want to take away educational time. Very hypocritical. Students as little as 6 can walk home by themselves and the car pool line consist of displaying your child's first and last name across your window. We witnessed a child being attacked by a dog and a little girl was hit on her bike with a CAR! One sub. could not read the dismissal paper, because she could not read English. There is so much more. All in all, I took a job to pay for private school."
