"We've had our kids at SBCS since pre-K, with the eldest starting third grade this year. Overall we've been very pleased with the education and extracurricular opportunities they're receiving. We appreciate the diversity at our school--the kids have the chance to learn about and respect cultures and perspectives different from their own. Our classrooms are multi-aged, which means two grade levels are together in one room ... the older kids in the class develop their mentoring skills and the younger ones benefit from their experience. It also breeds respect. As a charter school, our methodology can be more experimental--less what the rest of the district is doing--but it's research-based and cutting edge. It can be difficult for some parents to feel secure in that, but I know so many teachers who choose Ball Charter for their kids! And again, we're very pleased and I recommend the school with no hesitation."

"We have been very pleased with the education at elementary and middle level here. Our children are very successful and have tested well on all achievement tests. We are encouraged to be involved at every level of the school. The technology program this year is fabulous and the quality of teachers at this school is beyond compare. We are lucky to have SBCS in central Illinois."
