"The teachers at SABIS can be very good at interacting with the students. Not all teachers are, but for the most part the teachers are willing to give up their free time for the students that show initiative. The teaching styles in the class room vary. Some teachers will make lessons base right out of the book. Others make lessons based off of what the class responds to the best."

"My overall experience at this school could've been better. Over the years things have changed. Things such as the way teachers teach, the teachers themselves have come and gone, the way the school is ran, the dress policy, and the discipline. Some of these changes are for the good and some have made being a student even more difficult then it already is. Some changes that were nice was the way the Student Life Organization is ran. Students literally get to have a job in the school that puts you in a position of leadership, hard work, and dedication. The general idea of team work is spread through out the organization. If one department needs help, there is always another department there to hep out."

"Overall this school is great college preparatory school because it prepares us for the real world when we graduate high school. This school is unique because we take test every week or sometimes day whether if its an AMS every week and a periodic every three to four to see if we understand the curriculum. What I like about SABIS is that we go on a lot of field trips some educational, environmental and we do more activities than other public schools in Springfield. The athletics the past years had been successful, but the upcoming years it has not been successful, for example when I was captain of my volleyball team along with the best libero senior leaving I knew I had to step up with my team and get everyone working together to qualify to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament this year which we did accomplish. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't attend SABIS not because of sports, but education wise. Roger L Putnam Vocational- Technical High School known as Putnam High School. I would attend Putnam because they have programs, shops or classes that if you would like to major in college help you."
