"I feel like we have so much freedom and a lot of options in our class choices compared to other schools. Changing your schedule may be difficult if you dislike your classes though."

"While Central is easily the best school in Springfield, it has its definite drawbacks. A raucous student body as well as inefficient classes stunt the potential of the school. If there was more potential on maximizing learning instead of controlling the students, the school would be more successful than it is."

"Simply put, Springfield Central High School is the best high school available to many of us in Springfield and in surrounding cities. No other school offers the vast amount of classes and extracurricular activities. We get a lot of decision in the classes we want to take which gives us really unique transcripts and allows us to experiment. Also, there are many opportunities to join clubs and get involved. It's a sham that most kids besmirch our schools reputation by wasting their opportunities."

"There's a lot of time wasted during class. I often find that many of my classes aren't efficient and that time is spent performing menial tasks instead of actually learning new material."

"Central can easily become an amazing school. There are great teachers and many extracurricular activities; we receive a good amount of funding to purchase technology for the classroom. Most of all, the school is DIVERSE in every aspect. White people are actually the minority in the school and we have plenty of people from the LGBTQ community. Our GSA was even able to push for gender neutral bathrooms to be built. On the other hand, there are also many problems with Central. Athletes get special treatment all the time and it is extremely obvious, administration is awful--athletes have gotten away with minimum punishment for rape, and only certain administrators care if you tell them a sexual assault has occurred. Not everyone is like this, though. Many teachers DO care and will do everything in their power to help you with your problem. Teachers stay after school with struggling students and make sure they understand the concepts before they leave."
