"Cardinal O'Hara seems to have no clear cut grading scale posted any where and that is what my question to the archdiocese as well as to Cardinal O'Hara is What is an A 100 to 90? 105 to 87? I have not been able to find any scale posted in print or on line. The only thing I have found is a blurb concerning failure as being any grade between 69 and 60 with a grade of 69 being a"high failure" and a grade of 60 being a "low failure" whatever that means Yet they are publishing on my sons transcript a 72 as a D In most schools even colleges that is a C. This was the norm for most of their school policies They had none. This all was dictated by the school disciplinarian office They pretty much ran the school. And the policies they had were all very unclear and worked against the students I contacted the archdiocese about the situation and they did nothing After two emails I have yet to receive any explanation as to the grading policy"

"I have been a student at O'hara for two years, I am in first track, and the academics are anything but challenging. 85% of the teachers are just plain awful and hide behind the other teachers that are actually good at what they do. I am really worried about doing well on the SATs and my teachers haven't helped me at all. The academics are just a plain joke. If you are worried about your children making good friends, do not send them here. The students are obnoxious, bratty, and just straight up mean. Within 3 months, there were 3 very large fights, mostly girls. Discipline is worried more about being "good Catholics" and make the school seem like a prison. Which raises another question, 1500 students are each paying $6000 a year to go there, and we each have to raise $260 in chances, and add up the $10 you have to pay to retrieve your phone from discipline and $2 you have to pay for Saturday detention for "keeping the electricity on" (although there are 75 stage crew members who also come in on Saturdays even when detention isn't there) which probably adds up 50 5-7 grand a year; where does all this money go if we don't have the money to hire new teachers?"

"This great review are all false. Ohara is not a good school at all an I can tell you from first hand experience. I spent my 1st year of high school in Ohara until my family moved and I went to a public school instead. The public school (Unionville High School) totally opend my eyes to how bad Ohara really is. First off, the teachers their are truly awful and there really are very few exceptions to this. Secondly the disapline really is just stupid. I understand that a school needs to keep its students in check but Ohara just takes it to such a level that it is one of the reasons I think it fails academially. So oppsessed are they with keeping the kids in line that in the long run I think it causes more problems then good. In my current school the kids dont get the same system of punishment and in all honesty hardly anybody really does anything bad. Ohara doesnt have really anything to help kids who need extra help, and while they pride themeselves on the extra curricular activities even they really arent that great. What bothers me is that there are kids in Ohara that could be getting a much better education. Parents, please before you sent your kids to this school think twice."

"My daughter Barbara went there and they have such good teachers and have discipline for the students to make them better people and teach about God, respect and to love everyone."
