"With a few exceptions, the teachers at Allan D. Nease High School were/are wonderful. For the four years I attended Nease, I was able to start out in standard classes freshman year and work my way to honors courses sophomore year, AP courses junior year, and mostly off campus dual enrollment courses senior year. This allowed me to be educated by a variety of different teachers. The quality of teaching definitely peaked in my AP courses where I was in the same classes as the IB (International Baccalaureate) students. The IB students definitely received more attention than those in standard classes. They were given (in my opinion) better teachers and an overall higher quality of education. The teaching styles were very basic, we learned from a power point, received a study guide and would have "busy work" up until test day. The teachers seemed to be able to answer virtually every question, almost as if they had taught the same powerpoint a time or two before. They were very helpful when it came to students needing extra help. I was always able to go in early or stay after to meet with a teacher is if had unanswered questions or needed to make something up that I may have missed. For the most part, the grading was very consistent. I never felt as if I should have received better or worse. Overall, I would consider Allan D. Nease a well-rounded school. Some of the teachers could be improved but, for the majority, they worked as hard and as passionately as they could to make sure their students received the best education."

"The only thing that would make me want to choose a different school is the fact the school didn't care much about the art program. In my opinion, art is such an important part of school. It allows a student to have that 45 minutes of being creative and also allows them to use the right side of their brain. When I was a freshman, there were two art teachers. Sophomore year they had fired both of them and hired one new teacher to take over all the students. The class sizes were much too large making it harder for the teacher and student to have one-on-one time. The ROTC, communications, and IB programs received the most funding and were held to a very high standard. Groups such as Yearbook, band and drama were very popular the years I attended Nease. The fact that this school was so well rounded really gave it an advantage over other schools in the area."

"It's a great school and it's very unique. One thing that is especially unique is its layout. One thing I found at this school that I did not find at my middle school was that the teachers were knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to help the students learn. The students are also generally friendly and all kinds of classes are available."

"I liked the dual enrollment options. They really let you get a jump start to your education."
