"Melrose has an excellent Magnet program in effect. BUT, the school caters to the problem students in the school and leaves out the hardworking, ready to learn student. The school is lacking good leadership to hold parents and students accountable. My child was in Kindergarten and came home everyday of another student hurting him. It became so bad i eventually pulled him out early."

"My child went to melrose for 4 yrs and I saw it go from an okay school to a lousy school in those 4 yrs. This year I moved my child and am having to catch her up on almost every subject. She was an honor roll student at Melrose. I wish I had moved her before now."

"Both of my children have attended this school, My daughter did well the school was great however by the time my son started the school had started going downhill. It started going downhill when my daughter was in 5th grade, which was 3years ago. I have changed my sons school for this upcoming year. I would not recommend this school any longer!"

"MY children have all gone through Melrose and I must say that that, they have had some positive experiences as well negative ones. But overall i like the school. Because it doesnt matter where our children go they are going to be faced with challenges. Perfection is a matter of opinion. I thank the teachers and staff, for there hard work and dilligence in dealing with us as parents and our children. You don't know what teachers go through unless you've walked in there shoes."

"I pulled my child out of Melrose and put him in private school. The best was not pulled out of my son there. He started k with enough knowledge to do first grade work. He was bored to tears and learned nothing all year. He stayed through 2nd grade and was not productive. Since the transfer he is challenged and progressing."
