"Great school! Moved here for the schools and have not been disappointed! The staff is wonderful, even when your child has a hard time. I have three kids and one has trouble and the other does very well. Both were given the opportunity to excel. They both love it and we have been very happy with the environment the school provides. Both will be ready for college and what life experiences are next."

"This is an excellent school and District, well managed with mostly excellent staff. Both my kids go there. They have the second lowest tax rate in York County, yet consistently deliver outstanding performance on just about every metric, as compared to other schools in the County (which spend much more on a $ per student basis) and the State, with plenty of opportunity to excell through honors, AP courses and College dual - enrollment. Serious students are well prepared to excell in College. They have a good variety of varsity and extracurricular activities and have acheived a substantial amount of accolades at the State level particularly for a school of this modest size. The facilities are not elaborate but are very clean and well-maintained"

"I am an SHS alumni, and I have to say that unless things have changed, when I went on to Penn State, I didn't learn anything NEW in college until my senior year. I felt BEYOND prepared for college. I write for my current job, and the skills I learned from the English department are carried with me on a daily basis, 12 years later. If you're a parent considering moving to this school district, you will not (or should not) be disappointed."

"Susky is a slightly above average high school. It is far too easy to get straight A's without doing any work or learning anything even in the so-called honors and AP courses. The guidance department is probably one of the worst in the nation. The athletics, on the other hand, are top notch, if high school sports is what's important later in life."

"Not much of a choice in selecting which high school to attend. The principal seems to be very good and very open to 'all' students and parents. The guidance counselors are awesome. The curriculum is very good. The problem in this school is many of the students and at least one teacher that I know of make racist remarks and allow inappropriate conversations in classrooms that could lead to bigger problems. The principal handles situations promptly but something more should be done so that it doesn't keep reoccurring. The zero tolerance should be more strictly enforced. My child has done quite well curriculum-wise."
