"Every school is going to have a small handful of teachers who the students like the least, but others might love them. It all really depends on the students and their learning style versus the teachers teaching style and personality. Overall, I have memorable experiences at that school and with the teachers. Several students go back to visit the school just to see the teachers alone, long after they have graduated and moved on. They really connect with their students on a personal level, which is what most students need in a high school setting. They are almost always available and engaged sometimes even more than the students in school activities and spirit."

"High school stereotypically involves drama, but for the most part, nothing severe comes out of the general students and their interactions. At most there are maybe one or two incidents each year with students, but teachers are always quick to stop it. For the most part, the students are very accepting of eachother. The clubs look at other clubs and organizations equally, however, I felt at times that there was too much of an enphasis on sports and not enough on other extra carriculars that were deserving of recognition. It was all about who was involved and how hard they worked and what they did. But from my class, most people were friends with everyone. By the time we had graduated, everyone knew everyone's names. We all had similar experiences to relate with one another, most involving teachers and crazy moments that happened in class, so no one was left out. Every found their place and no one was really an outcast."

"The scheduling process was always easy. As freshmen, the counselors went over the class options with everyone so that we were set and always had our minds on what we were eager to take the next year. They were open about what classes we needed to take and in which order. If we struggled, they would lend a helping hand. The master schedule always seemed to work out except in one case when I was unable to get the next level or art. I was heartbroken. I had never heard of that happening to another student there, but I was soon okay with the unfortunate outcome. as for most students, we always had an elective and as long as we fulfilled our general classes, some had the opportunities to finish quicker than others, had more spots to fill with electives their senior year. It was always looked forward to. There was a variety of electives at the school and everyone found something they loved, a majority even took more academics! In the end, everyone seemed happy with how their schedules and classes turned out. The carriculum was always consistent among departments, so other students were able to help and study with one another. Everyone had the supplies and books that they needed as well. I believe that also further bonded the students to create a person experience at the school."

"I have met people that I can honestly say who will be with me for life at this school. Most people say that when it comes to High School, but a lot of the students really connect with one another at Wallkill through student activities and similar interests. Most of the students have a diverse taste in interests. A student may be running from a team practice to their rehearsal for the school musicals, which are always absolutely wonderful! The school is well known for their musical productions and it was probably one of my favorite things that I had been involved with during my high school years. Although I wish I was given more guidence on my college path and had been more encouraged to sign up for scholarships, most of my class had either moved on to Community College, which is no problem! Or a University. With a diverse crowd, there was always a friend to make. The classes were fun and I will always remember the best teachers I have ever had in my educational years. High school is really what you make of it!"

"My overall experience at Wallkill was that the school was unique. You had the freedom of a high school student, but they still stayed on your case as if you were in middle school. The environment was always friendly, and there are clubs and organizations for everyone."
