"My 2 boys attended Heritage elem. school and they had great teachers and good friends. They liked it, finished elementary without any problems. My other son is in 3rd grade and he says that he has the best 3rd grade teacher!"

"I'm disappointed for a first impression as my son transfered here from a superb school we both didn't want to leave but had no choice due to a move. The principal whom was brand new was the only real assistance I received when I asked questions. The school's outside organization is horrible. There is no real pick up and drop off for the kids and they go in and out several different doors. There is no real parking lot for parents either and no room on the side street to park. This first week we got yelled at by different student cross guards to get onto the sidewalk but I have permission from the principal to park in their only lot to pick up and drop off my kid. They need more discipline and manners! The pick up is horrible. There is no way out to go home except one road"

"Overall this school has been an extreme disappointment. School caters to non english speaking students 58%, state aver is 7% and provides them with special classes to learn english up to third grade. 67% of enrollment is hispanic, state aver is 18%. 61% is low income, state aver is 39%. 26% of the clases are taught by not highly qualified teachers, state average is 2%. The caliber of most teachers is below average and a great disappointment. Programs are mediocre at best. There are no extra cirrucular activities offered by the school except 6th graders. Uniforms were implemeted in 2005/2006 but too many choices given consequently you don't even find continuity in that. You'll do your child a great disservice by sending him/her to this school."

"When I went here for kindergarden though 5th grade, I got to know the building and other kids. But one thing I didn't like was the bathroom stalls. The walls were too short. I am tall for my age and I was self-concious. I hope this get changed in the future for other kids who don't like it. Overall, I liked my teachers and the staff."

"Heritage's multicultural diversity is a plus. Classes are a bit tight however and it is harder to give the individualized attention to the younger kids. My daughter attended Kindergarten here and loved it."
