"One of the best school in the area, great staff, great community of learners. Wonderful 5th and 5th grade teachers and friendly secretaries"

"Laurel Hill School has a dynamic, caring staff with a 'can do' attitude. Many of the teachers are involved in some kind of after school program to help kids catch up. There is ISAT tutoring, tutoring in reading and reading comprehension skills and small groups of children being tutoring by their classroom teachers, after school, for free. Laurel Hill has a large population of students whose first language is not English, so test-taking in English is a challenge the school teaching staff is trying to meet. I am very optimistic about this school. There are many caring teachers there, regardless of their age or seniority. There are veteran teachers and there are rookies, and they support one another and the students with patience, courage and knowledge."

"There are some staff members at this school that try very hard. I am afraid most kids at Laurel Hill are very behind other children at nearby districts. My child has not even been exposed to half the education of friends and family at other schools at the same grade level. This school has a high population of older, tired, too comfortable teachers. Hopefully our extremly low test scores will give them the drive to do more for our children."
