"I have been spending the last qweek figuring out how to get my child out of this school. Maybe for the SWAS kids it's a great school. According to my son it's a great school. The teachers are great, but unfortunately a good majority of the children that attend this school are not that great. I understand my child will face drugs, sex, gangs or what have you when he gets out into the world, but for now he is 12 years old and I don't think he needs to be around that at this age. Not to this extent. He has done a good job avoiding it, but unfortunately the teachers can only do so much and the majority of parents now a days just don't care or have that "not my kid" syndrome. Either way, the gang activity, drugs and ethnic diversity (or lack there of) has made this school or poor choice for "normal" children who are not in SWAS. I have 2 more children who are supposed to go to teft and over my dead body will they step foot in that school. Now I know why so many parents warned me about this school and told me it was bad news and to get him into Eastview."

"When I walked in this school I was shocked by the age of the school and the diversity of students. But I came to love this school. They run a tight ship in terms of safety/security and academically -at least in SWAS - it is top-notch. I am very critical of U46 schools in general, but this school has been a great experience for my child."
