"The teachers aren't engaging with the students."

"I believe that students at my school tend to try to fit in and fall in the wrong crowd in peer pressure. I think that's the biggest challenge young people face today especially at Rodriguez. I have a different mindset and don't have to personally follow the everyone and what's "trending" now. I believe if you know who you are and what you stand for than you don't have to follow society's unlawful ways of "fitting in". Just be yourself in the best possible way."

"In today's society as far as technology and common core there are positive and negative aspects of it. For one technology is a good advancement in classroom and homework but can be overwhelming when people don't have access to the internet 24/7 because teachers need to realize that not everyone has a phone or computer. As far as common core which I think is unfair to students like who didn't grow with the way of learning and the standardized testing. Save that for the next generation who are born and grow up with it. And don't even get me started on the workload which is too much and puts to much on the student. Like when the average student comes home after practice or school they like to relax or take a break but they can't because all this excessive homework is due the next day and stay up hours on end doing there homework. You can't get the necessary sleep or social life. I feel like the school board needs to work all that and have no homework but classwork."

"The teachers are not all of the same ilk. There are teachers that help after school and are attentive to student needs especially for those lacking, often with extra credit or extra study sessions. However, there are those that are very strict or unresponsive to students, making classes very irritating for students. For the most part, the teachers give engaging lessons that make sense but there are a few that do not give flexibility to questions given by students and "by the book" studies."
