"In a Hispanic society, there is few opportunities achieve great results; however, students who demonstrate their potential to become involved at the community will succeed. The obstacles many students face at La Joya High School is obtaining integrity, discipline, and respect. Despite the flaws that exist in this environment, I believe students, who take the initiative to stand up and fight for a change in their community, will inspire individuals to be leaders of society."

"As a student at La Joya High School, despite the lack of academic progress in the majority of the students,I have learned to get obtain my commitnment towards an education. My knowledge reflects my intellectual abilities to succeed in the future. Taking AP and dual enrollment courses has given time the opportunity to explore beyond the standards, which intrigues me to believe and appreciate what I have achieved throughout the past years. My faith motivates me to seek prosperity and become an inspiration."

Although there are teachers that do not entirely focus on improving the integrity of the students, some take the initiative to fight to help students who aspire a higher education and seek determination on success."
