"On November 9th, 2011 my wife gave birth to our fourth child Riley. Our son Rylee was born with problems that painfully reduced his time in our world. Rylee s struggle ended Christmas night 2011, with his mother and myself by his side. About three weeks after our family s loss, my wife went to a meeting at Mesa View Elementary. My wife met with the Principle and her assistant regarding the recent TRUENCY of our Five year old who attends kindergarten at Mesa View. My wife was informed by the schools officials that our son s absenteeism during recent months would require that he attend School on Saturdays. The schools officials also informed my wife that if our son missed any more school, our next meeting would be with the Romoland school board officials, child protection services and law enforcement personnel . Our Five year old was absent while I and my wife tried to spend time with our son Rylee, who lived in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Loma Linda children s hospital. When my wife inquired about having our son talk to one of the schools counselors, she was informed that no grief counseling could be provided as there was no one at their school to do it ."

"This is a great school for my child to attend, the teachers are great..however... the pick up and drop off is a nightmare. I call it, "An Accident Waiting to Happen." There should be a better resolution to this problem. In the beginning of the school year, the school faculty said they were on top of this problem and they were going to get help for this situation..well.. it looked like they had the traffic flow moving smoothly within the first 2 weeks... and now... it's back to the same problem. If this problem could've been resolved i would give it 5 stars."

"I really like this school. In the three years my daughter has attended she has had some great teachers! The drop of and pick up can be pretty bad as mentioned. My two big concerns right now are the large number of students in the upper grades and the fact that the principal has recently left. Mr. Valdez had really been a good leader for the school. I only hope they can find a replacement as involved and as present as he was."

"thank you mesa view staff! i appreciate being able to call the office & be spoken to with respect & kindness...every time! our teachers have always been fantastic. the principal is consistently visible, friendly, & talkative with the kids. the only problem we have ever had is with other parents. some obviously have no concept of the challenges schools face. And considering they are now very under-staffed & underpaid...this staff still jumps through hoops. drop-off & pick-up can be difficult with those few parents who don't believe the rules apply to them."

"I currently have a daughter attending kindergarten at Mesa View and I have to say I love this school! The Principals, teachers and staff are all wonderful and I am so thankful my daughter has had a wonderful experience for her first year of school. I feel very blessed that my daughter is apart of such a warm, inviting, Mesa View family, especially considering the current state California is facing in regards to education."
