"I'm a senior at Katella and personally I dislike it. We have a poor educational program and even worse sports! I wanted to transfer to Sunny Hills for my final year this year :("

"My son was transfered from another High School and he enjoys school so much more. Thanks Katella!"

"Its funny hearing what some parents hear and say about this school. No hard hats were worn by students to get to class, and there are always AP classes offered, you just have to be smart enough to get in them. My only concern is safety and campus security, which seems minimal. Academics aren't that bad, but could be better. Room for improvement, but better than some schools."

"I have had a student at Katella for 6 years now (2 kids). The teachers are quick to respond to an e-mail to ask about grades or behavior. I have been really happy with the school. It is true that there has been a lot of construction, but it takes a lot of time to make so many changes to such a large school. My children have been happy there too."

"Katella High School has been under construction for over 3 years! There aren't even any lockers! Student are forced to carry at least 3-4 heavy books and more than one binder every day, and last year the students had to wear hard hats just to get to class! I have a child that who is very intelligent and she can't enhance her knowledge because AP classes are non-existent! Their sports program is extremely poor and students aren't focused on academics! Do not send your child to this school! Im un-enrolling my daughter due to these unacceptable conditions!!"
