"Everyone always says its horrible, including myself, and to be honest it really is. There's so much work compared to other schools, there are no boys, administration is the worst, the guidance department is terrible, it seems like it hasn't been cleaned in years, and they suck you completely dry of your money. Although, despite how horrible this school is, I feel as though i am 100% ready for college and my education has truly been an exceptional one. The teachers actually really care about their students' education and their well being beyond the classroom, and hate administration along with all the students. Also, the friends you make here are ones that you will keep forever, trust me. My personality has developed into one that I am proud of because of my friends (not to mention we all bond over how much we hate the school). To conclude: Does the school suck? Yes, very much so. Do all schools suck? Well yes so I don't know why you would expect anything different at Mercy. If I could go back in time would I have gone to a different school? Of course not, I love who I've become and everyone I have met too much to ever say that."
"worst decision of my life i already wasted 2 years of my life at this horrific school and they were the worst 2 years of my entire life"
"Starting my sophomore year at OLMA, and not enjoying it. I thought after freshman year it could only get better, but seems like just the same;maybe worse. The rules of the school have gotten more stricter, not that strict is a bad thing. However, students have been getting detentions for ridiculous reasons at some times and it hurts me when my friends cry because of something that may have not been their fault-like bringing in an absent note and administration says you never did...Some teachers are rude to some girls, or inconsiderate. This school, even though it is a catholic school, charges you for almost everything on too of the constantly growing tuition. No complaints about lunch food though...."
"*sigh* It really hurts me to give a bad review to a school. I have never made a review before but I feel this one is necessary. This school is much like the way the girls at the open house describe Sacred Heart Academy. Rude girls, cliques, rude teachers, too expensive, not fun, miserable girls. A lot of my friends from both public and catholic schools go to SHA and say that is nothing like that and enjoy every minute there and seniors are so prepared for college at SHA. There was a girl in my math class who had problems and the teacher was so mean to her everyday. Well, I am transferring along with my friends at OLMA."
"As a parent, I feel that I have made a terrible decision for my daughter. I talk to parents who have just decided to put their child in the school and I hear many say that they are pulling out their child or are planning to. This school charges you for everything on top of their constantly growing tuition. Worst part is, I hear after freshman year you cannot leave and many parents just want their child to go to Disney trip and then leave. My child doesn't like the teachers and the girls are always talking about parties, drinking, and their rich life. The grades academically for the school I see are not very high and I am probably better off sending my daughter to public school. I am disappointed in my decision for my daughter."
