"I see why the PTO is disliked, the meetings are held during the school day a no-go for those who are SAHM with younger children or work. The PTO, at principal s urging, spent $1000s of dollars on a weather system before it bothered to put in any playground equipment that came over a semester later for only one grade level. Another grade level received playground equipment a year after that. I know more than one who has had problems. The principals haven't wanted to meet with them and when they did, the parents have left saying that they felt better, but know that nothing was done to solve the problem. Too frequently there are silent lunches and the only recess is cancelled. Kids are expected to sit in car line up to 30 minutes without saying a word or they lose the next day s recess."

"This school is in a nice neighborhood. I volunteer there regularly and I have to say what I see sometimes upsets me. There is a definite preference given to some students (those who have parents who work or volunteer there often) and parents (those that volunteer without and never question anything). I do not see rules and policies being applied to all students equally. I don t think the education is lacking, but a little too cookie cutter. I also think that the school cares more about how it is seen than about what it really does. I ve worked in schools that don t rate as high, but I see more time, care and attention given to each students needs and learning style without the favoritism."

"Very nice neighborhood school. Caring and responsive administration. Most of the teachers here are wonderful, caring, dedicated professionals who have the needs of the children as a top priority. Excellent opportunities for parental involvement and participation. This is the school we believe is the right choice for our children."
