"This school didn't have much of a uniqueness to it. I actually wish I went to school out of state."

"My experience at John Dewey was a positive one that I'll always remember. From the challenging Advanced Placement courses, to writing for the school newspaper and being able to take interesting electives like cooking and photography, to enjoying facilities like the dozen-acre campus, it was all pieced together by a large, diverse and talented student population. All of that not made the school an excellent place to learn, but also a unique one. So many of its quirks aren't accompanied by other high schools in the city, and you'd have to be a student to see that. On top of that, the expansive course offerings, strong presence of clubs and sports teams reigned school spirit. Perhaps one of the best things of all during my time at the school was the educational independence I carried, which included free periods and let you decide your academic trajectory; I always loved having that trust in being able to empower and challenge myself on my own. Granted, that isn't for every student as some need more structure, but it worked great for me. However, while there was student autonomy, help was there whenever you needed it. Dewey is known for having a college-like environment, and it's clear to see why."

"The teachers at this school could have been slightly more organized. This would be very beneficial to the students that way they stay organized as well and learn from this the school would create a better learning experience if it were more organized."
