"This school is an excellent school for some...... the advanced student in the Cambridge program only! I have a SPECIAL ED student who has a diagnosed problem and is low in reading and has made a 1 on the fcat four years in a row. Just because that has to have a 90 min reading block which is unfair....How about 1 reading class instead!!! He was forced to quit orchestra because he has so many reading classes. He gets NO ACTIVITIES: PE, band, orchestra, NOTHING! I think the educators need to rethink this. No child should have to take 7 straight classes without an activity."

"I have a child in 7th grade at Jackson. I am partial to the school because I went there as well, however, the administration refuses to do what needs to be done about bullies and violence. My daughter has been victim several times and even the resource officer defends the offender. If something else happens I will be suing them. Everything reported gets swept under the carpet. When I contacted the school board I was referred back to the school who were very unhappy with me for contacting the superintendant's office. I am very pleased with the acedemic aspect of Jackson and the teachers have been great."

"MY MOTHER TEACHES AT THIS SCHOOL AND IS A WONDERFUL TEACHER! THE PARENTS NEED TO START GETTING INVOLVED AND REALIZING THE ISSUES! THEIR IS A WEBSITE THE SCHOOL SYSTEM HAS THAT POSTS GRADES AND LESSON PLANS. PARENTS NEED TO START OWNING UP AND TAKING MORE RESPONSIBILITY AND REALIZE ITS NOT ALWAYS THE SCHOOLS DOING. THANK YOU. O YA AND I HAVE TWO CHILDREN OF MY OWN AND ONE IS IN SCHOOL."

"This school fails to act to protect its students. It allows bullying and quotes technicalities to prevent disciplinary action. Florida public schools are mandated by law to ensure each student is afforded a hostile-free learning environment in which they can gain a proper education. Jackson, however, is more concerned with their school board rating than taking the hard stance against student violence. If you want your child bullied, mistreated, and unprotected, enroll them in Jackson."
