    "i think the teacher try really hard here , but there hands are tried by the principals and higher ups , i thought high school would be fun for my daughter after the mightmare of east middle school but the same brats are still there , if you are not a cheerleader or a sports child dont even bother cause all this school cares about is this , there is no room for the normal kids , they showed us a list of after school programs the first day only to find out they dont have any of these clubs , the staff that you deal with are very mean you would think they are doing you a favor by being there . if you are looking for a rewarding school with a lot to offer this is not it"

    "I attended HS East in the '80s and it was a good school. My son is now a sophomore and I REMOVED him after two marking periods of his freshman year! The teachers never answered our emails and his world civ teacher would rather put his feet up on the desk, watch basketball and have the students teach themselves. He was in all honors classes and was expected to pair up with students on a dual project who didn't care! So my son did the entire project to get the grade he deserved. HS East-you failed in my book! My son now attends Kaplan University and loves it!"

    "I raised two boys who attended the Toms River Regional Schools from kindergarten to twelfth grade. The teachers are second to none! They are always willing to stay after school to offer help to any students on any given day. The teachers also call home if they are concerned about something pertaining to your child, so open communication is encouraged. Both my sons received an excellent education and went on to become productive members of society: one is a high school English teacher, the other is an environmental philanthropist in the private sector; they also acquired very strong writing skills which help them with their occupations. To the teachers I say, 'Thank You' for doing such a fine job! Keep up the good work!"

    "My daughter attends high school East and is a Junior. The teachers are very attentive, excellent, approachable and available. The atomosphere encourages students to develop their gifts and talents. There are many activities and something for everyone. It is a very positive learning environment."

    "There's lots of good that goes on at East. When I compare notes with other parents who have children at other Toms River High Schools, it seems they are all envious of the programs and overall situation of safety found at TRHSE."
