"This is the worst school ever. They have their own agenda and oftentimes it is not in the child's best interest."

"My 4 year old son started the special ed program for a speech delay when he was 3. The teachers are the greatest and really care about the kids. The pricipal and office staff are very friendly and get to know the kids by name. Pick up and drop off is a nightmare which I find to be the only major downfall. Busses are limited probably due to the number of students living within walking distance. The good is when starting during the 2008-09 school year my son only spoke about 15 words. Within 3 months he was talking your ear off and continues to improve daily. He loves to go to school every day. Also, there are activities for parents and kids on a regular basis like movie nights and help for parents (learning english) which I think is very important."

"No bus service; drop off and pick up of children is a traffic nightmare; school ignores parents' wishes; not enough slots for children's activities and intercession. If they are going to have a program, it is my opinion that all children should be allowed to attend instead of the school picking and choosing."

"I personally think that Marshall Elementary School has gastly improved since the late 1980's when I myself attended there as a young child. I am very proud of children of how much they are learning and enjoying going to school everyday; and also how wonderful the teachers' and staff are to both the students and parents' as well!"

"In Nov of 2006 I got custody of my little cousins and sent them to Marshall Elem. The boy, 9yrs old, is in special ed classes and started to get into a lot of trouble in classes and @ home. They, for months, worked very close w/us and tried very very hard to give suggestions and discipline to him. I will forever appreciate that and have nothing but good things to say to people about Marshall Elem and to Mrs. Whisenhunt and Mrs. Herman I have a special thank you for all your help and patience with him. The little girl I have went to Mrs. Baxter's class and loved every minute of it and her."
