"Reeths Puffer is getting too big for one high school with too many kids from different areas of town and economic situations therefore leading to a great deal of friction. It is a factory environment and unfortunately like any public school, the kids get lost in the shuffle. There are some great teachers who try hard but they only have so much time to help your child. There is a lot of confusion that always exists (12 yrs in the district), at every level. Communication to parents is not good. My child is intelligent but RP did nothing to foster that. I don't think that is a problem of RP as much as it is the public school system. I don't mean to be hard on RP, just that there is room for improvement and I chose to remove my child from the district for the last year of school."

"Don't fall into the trap of believing anecdotal information or heresay, do your own research. Saying RP doesn't prepare you or doesn't compare favorably to other local schools is an empty claim. Based upon what facts? MEAP scores and ACT scores are virtually identical when comparing like tested groups. Facilities are clearly better @ RP compared to other schools mentioned and teachers rate very high. The curriculum is challenging and well rounded for college prep or vocational careers. Again, do YOUR homework. Visit, compare, discuss. You'll find Reeths Puffer has a very compelling value proposition. RP, in my opinion, provides cultural diversity and a rigorous academic & extra curricular environment that students can thrive in immediately. Remember, your childs education starts @ home. Don't expect any school to prepare your son or daughter for college if you haven't given them the proper fundamentals, discipline, awareness, social skills and interest in learning."

"I brought my daughter to Reeths-Puffer Schools from a smaller, suburban high school. The caliber of the curriculum, teaching staff and extra-curricular offerings are the best in the area. The fine arts programs are superb, and the high school offers tons of accelerated opportunities for students through Advanced Placement Classes and foreign language, including Mandarin Chinese."
