"Transferring to OLV is one of the best decisions we could have made. Unlike in public school, my child is happy to go to school everyday. The teachers and staff are caring and interested in the children, who do not get lost in the crowd. With one class per grade, they move up with the same kids each year. The education is superior - the math is advanced; they do a lot of writing (they are not being taught the CRCT all year); there is more homework and greater expectations; and they do interesting projects. They also have classes in Spanish and religion, and are given greater exposure to the arts - they actually played instruments (recorders) in music and they are actually learning art skills (instead of just doing crafts). There is always something fun and different going on - such as a spelling bee, book battle, carnival, 5K race, field day, drama performances, talent show, class parties, book fairs, teacher/student volleyball game, MLK Day speaker, the list goes on and on.... This is a GREAT school."

"The problem with the school is the administration. Principal Grace is extremely cheap and will not invest the much needed money into the school. For example, she expects for the parents to donate everything from a new kitchen fryer to classroom whiteboards. Where does the tuition go? She does not spend it on recruitment either. Our son attended for K and 1st grade. I loved the small atmosphere and the fact that everyone knew everybody. I agree with the comment that Ms. Grace will say anything to get you there, but do nothing to keep you there. This is probably why they have lost so many good families, some of which were there for years. There were parents who paid tuition for multiple children for several years and once they came upon financial hard times, they were not assisted. Yet I know for a fact that a new family with multiple children was given a HUGE discount in tuition. Further, Ms. Grace fires teachers who disagree with her and tells the parents who disagree with her that their children cannot return. All that and it is a mediocre education at best. I don't care that it has a blue ribbon--that must be political."

"Our children are very happy at Our Lady of Victory. The school has challenging academics and daily prayer. This is the school for your family if you want a Catholic loving environment for your children. My boys both wake up excited for school and look forward to the schools many sports and special events. The principal, teachers, and staff are welcolming and friendly. We love it here."

"We have attended OLV for over 6 years. We had to leave the school. The curriculum has dropped and the quality of the students has dropped as well. I have supported the school financially and giving of my personal time and I saw first hand the lack of respect the current student body has for their elders. I love the teachers, but with the current administration at the school their hands are tied and must follow the "principal's way" or they get fired. I hated to leave but my child is happier and glad to be away from "that school." Mrs. Grace will tell you what ever you want to hear to get you in the door, ask around find out why other families left. It's not financial its the principal, and the quality of students attending the school. Yes they got a million endowment, but it's not attracting the quality students or quality teachers. The parent involvement consists of the same 20 families, everyone else just sits back and watches and doesn't even support the school financially...pitiful!"

"This school ,as is says above not a good school. Please take it from me don't not send your children to this school . I am a student that has taken time out to find a site on the internet to warn others about this school. I will just say a couple of the many different problems in this school. First of all the teacher are not nice at all except for the math teacher for 6th Grade and the Social Studies teacher of 6th,7th, and 8th. I their the only two teachers that are nice . Take my word. I know teachers aren't suppose to be nice but it is an environment where your child spends all day and can't get respect from teachers. Second of all the students are ok but some can tease your child. If they might have problems. So please do your self a favor and take you money and time some where else. Also all these student that say they love the school the don't want to tell their parents the true. Especially the students in 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade. One last thing ,` especially don't send your children here if their in 6,7,or 8th Grades PLEASE!!!!!!"
