"I am a former student at GHS. Other reviews stating the high academic achievement and pressure for excellence are true. However, there are some serious issues with bullying that are not addressed. Upon my arrival at GHS a young girl was at her breaking point and being a small school, it was hard to ignore. Both boys and girls were responsible for the reprehensible behavior towards her and she ultimately was forced to move away. Over the next two years this happened to me as well. The faculty, while wonderful where academics are concerned, are ill-equipt to deal with any sort of bullying. A "kids will be kids" attitude seems commonplace. Due to the small town mind-set children feel free to move their detestable behavior outside the classroom and right to a student's front door. I wish that I were an anomaly, that I was the exception to the rule, but I met several older women who were forced to move away due to similar circumstances. A retired school administrator was a neighbor of ours. She knew of many other girls who had been through tortuous years just trying to graduate high school. GHS is wonderful, but the students are monstrous. Please beware."

"Two of my children have graduated from Granville Schools and both have done extremely well in college and felt high school was more demanding! Good surprise for them!"

"Okay well I'm at student at GHS and I can tell you way more than the parents. Let me first start off saying that GHS is known as a really good school in our area. That's because we do really well on testing. But Granville does has some flaws. There is zero diversity in our school. Everyone looks the same, talks the same, thinks the same. Also, Granville focuses way to much on grades and sports. If you don't get an A on a test people make such a big deal of it. And there are very few people here who don't play a sport. So if you are thinking about sending your child here, please keep everything I said in mind. Like I said, I'm a student. So I know what I'm talking about."
