"Ardmore Avenue has potential to be better. Now that Mr. Timothy McKay is the principal I think the school's culture has changed for the better. The teachers are good and they care about students who come to school to learn. Given the lousy school district we're in I think the teachers do a great job. Mrs Jones and Mrs Griffith are great and they interact with the parents to ensure that everyone has the same goal in mind. If these teachers were provided with the right resources such as up to date classroom technology and school funding to implement more programs, I believe Ardmore could be a great school. But we cant place the blame all on the schools and the teachers. As parents we are the first educators, so a child is only going to do as they were taught. So if every parent communicated effectively with their child's teacher and showed some type of involvement I believe Ardmore could be the shining star in the William Penn School District. 2012 school year"

"This school has the potential to be much better. Now the Principal Harris is gone I am hoping for a more seasoned Principal to replace him. My child is currently in 3rd, during kindergarten and 1st grade I was very pleased. I loved the teachers (Mrs. B and Ms. Griffith). However, 2nd was horrible the teacher (Ms. Thomas) was mean, yelled at the children daily, made children cry. When I met her she seemed to not have a care for children and only teach for the pay. I'm hoping this is a much better school year."

"I love the school because, even being in a bad district the school has good values, teacher are the best in PA and the parents all help out. The children are taught values and morals. There are rewards(bee points)for good behavior and cosequences for negative behavior. Each child is treated as an individual and are incourage to be an individual."

"Norma Welsh does a great job. The teachers are caring, knowledgeable and attentive. I have children in two different grades. I think there school work is challenging and interesting for them. Many times the kids come home excited and eager to share about what they are doing in class."

"Norma Jean Welsh deserves the highest praise for the fantastic job she is doing at Ardmore Avenue. We are sorry that we moved out of the area, as this was a great educational experience for our son. The success of this school comes from the strong staff-parent alliances, developed through an outstanding home-school association. Keep up the great work!"
