"I spent the past three years sticking to my studies and minding my own business. People are just rude sometimes and I would not relive it again"

"This school is completely overcrowded. There are hundreds of students packed in the hallways that are extremely rude and rowdy. The students had no respect for authority, which is not a surprise due to how little the teachers cared about their jobs. The IB program is supposed to be Lamar's most rigorous program, however, the teachers teach it as a joke. The students received little to no help on any of their assignments that were supposed to be completed with a mentor. The IB program is only rigorous due to the amount of mindless work that the teachers assigned that took students hours. Every teacher would assign "busy work" assignments that take up hours and they never communicated with each other to let them know how much was being assigned and when. Overall, this school was a terrible experience."

"When I was there we had a small graduating class and didn't really have adequate funding. However, after the recession more people chose Lamar over private school options so it is overcrowded. My parents didn't send my brother there as a result of increased class size."

"Having a large student body of almost 3,200 students, Lamar was a very diverse school. Faculty and staff would greet their students with a smile and never put anyone down. There was always a place for everyone and no one was ever left behind."

"I like the school due to the fact that i am engaged in some of the clubs and there is some parent participation, but the students are brought up to be independent so its not really needed."
