"I have had a pleasant experience with this school, staff and volunteers. It is unfortunate that due to budget restraints, many positions have had to be cut. The principal makes herself available to parents and the teachers are open for questions and parent involvement."

"Sadly, the school suffers because of the administration. The principal has issues not conducive to being a principal. She has a temper and is known to be controlling and does not have good rapport with all parents and teachers. That being said, there are several outstanding teachers at each grade level. In speaking with these teachers, their primary disappointment is the principal and her temper. They do not fully and freely communicate with the principal because she will hold grudges and make things difficult for her staff."

"I have lived in Valley Center for 12 years because of the quality of the schools here. There's no where else I want my 4 children to be raised. I have one graduating high school, one in middle school and two at the primary. I also LOVE the fact that they provide free bus transportation, unlike most other schools in San Diego County. The teachers listen to parental concerns and you can tell that they actually care & enjoy teaching. They are some of the BEST teachers and I couldn't have been happier with them. It takes a village definitely holds true here in VC."

"Academics are good if your child is in the right class. Music is minimal, the amount of art depends on the teacher, sports & extracurricular activities must be provided by you as a parent (which is best anyway). Valley Center has good parent involvement (by those that are involved)."
