"I am a student here at Hillside middle school. And I must say out of all the schools I've been to this one is definitely the best. The staff and students are wonderful. And it's amazing how the teachers can make High School work seem so easy. I am in the honors program for 8th grade Math and I must say that our teacher is amazing. He makes things like radicals and linear equations seem like 1st grade material for us. All in all I think it is a great school."

"This is the best school I have been to. I haven't heard any bad comments about any of the teachers that I currently have and I think i won't ever."

"My youngest daughter is in the 7th grade. My oldest daughter attended Hillside for 2 years and is now at Normandy. They are both honor students. I feel that Hillside is a wonderful school. The teachers challenge the children with interesting projects that make learning interesting and something that they want to do. I, myself, am a graduate of Normandy and I tell my daughters that I wish I had the opportunities and classes etc that they are involved in. I also like the idea of the different 'houses' at Hillside. I didn't understand it at first but I now realize what a benefit it is to the students. My daughter loves the different Paws and Claws competitions too! I see in my youngest child the willingness to achieve and to maintain her honor roll status, and I am grateful that she has such a great group of teachers and leaders at Hillside to encourage and guide her into high school!"

"I'm not really a parent, I'm a student at Hillside right now, going into the eigth grade. I really love it at Hillside. It's got a feeling that you belong there, and that the teachers actually care whether you pass or fail. It's a great learning envirnment. I don't understand why normally our ratings are so low. Ask the average student how they would rate Hillside. If they said they didn't like it, they'd be lying. The only reason kids would say htey didn't like it, is if htey didn't do anything to find out how good our school is."
