"I was a very active high school student. I was in National Honor Society, BETA, and Student Government. I was also a cheerleader and a softball player. I met my family at this school. I befriended people that will be my friends for the rest of my life. I was surrounded by people that loved each other. We had an opportunity to take 7 AP classes; my school definitely operated on a budget, but our teachers wanted to get AP certified so that we would get a stellar education. I think a unique thing about Vidalia High School is how they mold to fit each student's needs. You could always approach the principal or vice principal, and they both know every single student by name. Many sports teams had special needs children as team managers, and we hosted Special Olympics every year. If I could go back, I would. If I could choose a different high school, I wouldn't."

"I loved Vidalia High School. I'm from a very small town (Vidalia), but a limited amount of government funding didn't stop my school from being great. My teachers always work hard to ensure that I would be prepared. I am now a freshman at one of the best universities in the state (University of Georgia), and I am doing well. My teachers were kind and approachable; since graduation, I have become friends with a number of my teachers and they care about my success in college. They were all great inside of the classroom, but went above and beyond by being great people outside of the classroom. Most of them attended school functions and sporting events, and if they could not, they all showed their school spirit during school hours."

"The majority of the teachers are not there to help the students learn and understand what is going on."

"The school is better than other around South Georgia and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else but many changes could be made to help students be in a good, learning environment."
