"All three of my daughters attend or have graduated from AIS. Exellent learning environment. Very friendly. Car line is example of taking turns and sharing, we are all in this together. As diversified as the surrounding community. Very engaged School heads and facilty, who do not hesitate to go the extra mile. Expensive, but worth every dime. Kids are prepared for college and engaged parents help prepare our girls for the world at large. This is a school that strives for excellence and with a refreshed campus, AIS is better able to provide an improved experience for learning and growing. The work load in the upper school is tough and I am amazed how well our student athletes do. Sports teams are quite competive, especially considering enrollment size. and academic rigor. AIS is a school that raises the bar for all of the other local schools and has a parent population that cares for and supports one another."

"Academically, in the core subjects, the school is very strong including multiple languages. Extra curricular activities are weak; art, theater, music and sports. Lacks diversity. State they are working on it, but Baldwin gets the diversity due to their scholarship program and train station location. AIS doesn't offer this. Teachers work very hard to educate. Dedicate, each and every one. Impressive support staff. Office administration and Heads of each school excluding head of entire school (Sally) are highly paid, unprofessional with no follow through. The extent of their ability is to give great speeches and empty promises. Going through major construction (2013) so expect tuition to go up. Tuition is currently between $25k-$30k, depending on the grade. Goes up $500 per year. Most, not all, girls are bratty and entitled. Parents have extensive money. Girls very prepared for college but not the world; a rude awakening. World doesn't consist of blonde hair, skinning, blue eyes, caucasian, extremely wealthy people."

"AIS isn't really about the education. The focus is on money and moms. As a mom, I can't go to the carpool line in without doing a complete makeover , or else I get a snarky comment from other moms. The parent population consists mostly of stay at home main line moms and fathers who work at a real estate business or law firm but are wealthy from their parents money. The girls only babble about the latest fashion, trends, and devices. They brag about who has the biggest house. We recently moved to the area, and m daughter is learning martial that she learned last year at a public school. I asked the teach if she could be more challenged, and was told that she was doing well what would the need for challenge be? The athletics program mind as well not exist, because the coaches are horrible but avgthe same time all they care about is winning. The arts isn't strong at all and does not push girls. Please don't make our mistake and send your daughter to this school."

"Every city in the nation should have an AI for girls! We had to move out of state but we still have fond memories of AI despite our brief stint and our attendance was few years back at the Lower School. As other enthusiastic posters have commented, it is indeed a very "special environment" for girls - and for the parents too! We loved dropping off our child and picking her up there as each entry into the doors presented warmth, nurture, and excitement each day! There's something special about the way school is run - this credits to the Administration, Admissions, and overall Leadership. Our child blossomed - this credits to the Faculty & Staff, even the After-Care Program is excellent. We, as parents, had fun too - this credits to the open-arms attitude of the parent community who was good at outreach and playdates! We didn't even live in the mainline but that didn't matter here. We felt like we were part of a very unique, special community - that which it is - the AI community."

"A superb school where your daughters will be amazed, challenged, encouraged & pushed to be their best. The teachers are passionate about their work. The school really cares about each and every girl, individually. I entered AIS 3 years ago and neither my daugher nor I knew a single person. We never considered ourselves the typical "main liners". Three years on.... as a parent, I am almost more involved than my schedule can handle. My daugher counts every girl in her grade as her friend. If you show up and make the smallest effort, you will be welcomed with open arms."
