"The sciences were great. The language arts at best mediocre. The kids like to party. There was taunting of different students that was not dealt with. Cheating was rampant, well, shall I say, it was the norm. I can not say that is different from other high schools because I don't know other high schools. Some kids were really great. Some kids were really mean. Some teachers were really great. Some were really not. So I give it an average rating. Many kids appeared to get professional help in achieving good grades. Parents care about grades."

"I didn't appreciate it at the time but Harriton provided me with such an excellent and well-rounded education. Now, in college, I am way better prepared then a majority of my classmates."

"My child is in the Harriton 2010 class, the first to graduate since the new school buildings opened. Even the old Harriton offered fantastic opportunities, at least within the broad 'honors/AP/IB' paths. The school s core strength is its teaching faculty. Our child's teachers have ranged from solidly professional to inspired. Because the student body is relatively small and the array of extracurricular activities is full, sports teams are inclusive. Offerings in the arts are strong and should improve further with the new buildings great new facilities. And about those facilities--they are great and being put to good use by the faculty and coaches. The exercise room rivals a sports club, the all-season field and track are extensively used by teams and neighbors, the classrooms, library, cafeteria and other common areas are lightfilled and well-designed. Negs mostly auto-dependent campus, though the natural-gas driven buses are quiet and well managed."

"This is a truly great school with some of the best teachers anywhere. It is the only school I have ever found where a Science Olympiad team gets cheered in the hallways for winning a competition. With 14 consequtive Pennsylvaia Science Olympiad championships along with national championships and consistent top ten in the US it sports a science department of committed teachers who go the extra step for their students. Where else do you find a public school where teachers meet with students on a saturday morning at a Starbucks to talk physics?"

"I have had one child graduate and currently have two children at Harriton. Although Harriton is located in a relatively wealthy area of the Main Line, most of the wealthiest children attend one of the numerous private high schools in the area. Harriton is a bargain. It is a great school, the dozens of students I've met are racially tolerant and terrific in every way. Every school has its share of idiots, but to describe Harriton as elitist or intolerant is inaccuate at best, and an outright lie at worst."
