"This school is awful. Suppressing talent and potential at every turn, this school works to depress and squelch any excitement the students could have toward learning. The teachers inadequacy is only bolstered by the administrations appalling aversion to work in any form. Switching out of this penitentiary is the best decision I have ever made."

"After transferring from the abysmal Upper Darby school district, I feel confident in saying that Marple Newtown is one of the best. It is a shame that this school is not more well known; it deserves more praise and attention. Ranked 35th on the list of 50 Best Greater Philadelphia School Districts. The music program, athletics, and class courses offered are outstanding. I've made friends to last a lifetime. I would recommend it to anyone."

"A horrible school for disadvantaged kids. The school just sweeps its 'problem students' into sub-par alternative schools."
