"The best thing about Prairie Ridge is the wide variety of teaching styles that they have. If a student has trouble learning a certain way, there will be other ways of learning incorporated in every unit to help those students understand the material. Types of learning strategies could include Power Points, notes, class discussions, videos, labs, reading assignments, etc. Prairie Ridge takes pride in it's ranking at 44th best school in the state of Illinois, and that shows."

"My favorite part of Prairie Ridge is the amount of support that most sport groups feel. Football games are among one of my favorite events that I have experienced in High School thus far because of the amount of fans that show up. Not only do current students "super fan," but graduated students of Prairie Ridge, as well as parents. "Super fanning" for our football team brings grades 9th-12th together to unite as one as we cheer on our football boys. It makes all the students of Prairie Ridge feel like a family when different culture groups that intertwine throughout the halls come together as one to support and take pride in our school under the lights."

"Some of the parents here at Prairie Ridge are concerned only about their student and how their student is doing, sometimes at the expense of other students"

"I come from a diverse are in southern California, so when I moved here to a predominantly white area it was and still is hard on me. The school and area I live in is wealthy and the kids who live here don't know any different than the area in which they live. They tend to be materialistic and concerned about their image and other things that don't matter in life. It is very cliquey here as well, so making friends was hard as an outsider. Super-fanning for the football games brings everyone together. We cheer on the band, we cheer on the football boys, and we cheer on the cheerleaders. It's one of the things that brings everyone together. Homecoming is another thing that brings the school together. Someone with a big house has an open invite for pictures which allows for people outside the clique to take pictures with those within the clique. The dances are a place where everyone has fun no matter what clique you belong to."
